I was able to “steal” 1 hour to perform a small part of my set at the second stage. I am happy that I was able to satisfy few people which came to listen to my mix so… I think it was a good start and of course - I really liked the festival up there in the heart of the Balkan.

I am happy to inform you, that I’ll perform live at the Artmospheric Festival located in Stara Planina mountain, near Lakatnik - Svoge. Thus this will be my debut live performance, I will be on the second mini-stage, but I think it is a good start for an low expectation artist like me, so… I will do my best

Due the fact I’ve never performed live before… and still there is some stage fever hidden somewhere inside me… I’ve decided to do a hybrid live/set by mixing my own home-brew music with some afx/sqp/boc teasers before the show… which will give me some time to ajust the mix to the sound system and then, I’ll try some live performance with my laptop and midi controller using Reason in standalone mode. After all.. If everything goes wrong, I can still enjoy my favorite artists.. lying somewhere on the ground… high

So.. I’m pretty sure that this will be a nice party after all

It was the best sunset ever! That kind of sunset you do not need to take it on picture. Just a memory of it… reminding that you are still alive. I hope that everything will be ok tonight at the party

Due to the fact that I’m doing this just for fun and also because I am not involved with any record label - almost nobody still knows about me and my stuff. Not that I feel bad about this…

The point is - I don’t need any discussion board or guest book on deflax.net as I was thinking at the beginning. (You can still write a comment for any news or release in blog.deflax.net of course)

So… my decision is “Board” tab to be renamed to “Production” where I will start to publish some of my custom combinator patches for Reason 4. I won’t share my project files at any point in time, but just maybe someone will find them useful. The patches are in few categories.. for example: “synth”, “sample” and “fx”. No explanation needed, I think. When I clear things up, I will update this page.

# The most important rule is: Thou shalt SHARE your weed! Don’t smoke alone, if there are other people around. Let the others share in your smoke, even if you spend your last money on that weed. Even if you’ve sold your mother to be able to buy it. EVEN if you don’t like the other people that much. There are no excuses. # The person who rolls the joint (no matter whose weed it is) gets to spark up the joint and gets first hits.
# If the joint/bong is passed to you, don’t smoke too much. A good rule is: puff, puff, pass!
# After passing the pipe or bong around after taking your hit, always pass the lighter with the pipe or bong, never hold it and forget about it unless the bowl is cherry.
# If someone rolls a nice joint, its good to give the person a compliment on his rolling skills…
# If someone starts bogarting the bowl and starts using the excuse that it’s okay for him to begirt it since it’s his weed, this is definitely not cool. The punishment depends on the quality of the weed and how much he put in. (if it was real crappy and he was real cheap with it, then you bug on the person and rag on him
# If someone is too palsy to light the bowl (due to being too stoned or the person is just a retard then they must relinquish control of the lighter to someone more able to get it lit. <--this does NOT mean the person who lights gets free hits... this privilege tends to get abused ("hey lemme light it for you...")
# If someone is so much of a palsy that they blow INTO the bowl and blow all the shit on the floor, this person must be ragged on and the person can't smoke on the next round (unless it was his stuff)
# If you smoke with someone in your house, you should let them eat some munchy food you may have lying around.. don't be cheap with your food if you have food...
# If someone who's smoked asks for a sip of your soda, you must give him some.. (drymouth is not fun) (Note): if you ask for a sip, don't take a large gulp
# If smoking from a bong or a joint, never put the whole thing in your mouth and get it all sopping wet.. it's disgusting and it messes up the joint.
# If you're smoking from a bong and there's not enough in the bowl for a whole other hit, you should save the smoke in the chamber for the next person..(don't let go of the rushhold or 'carb' and take it all yourself)
# Never bitch about someone else's weed being no good! If you don't like it don't smoke it!
# If a friend gets you high sometime in the future you need to get that friend high
# Thou shalt not turn down a smoke. Never!
# If you buy weed from a friend or a friend of a friend, it is polite to roll a joint, (a small one, if you wish) and smoke with the person who sells you the stuff.
# It is very impolite to hand someone an empty bowl, without notifying that person of it's possible cashed-ness. A proper warning would be 'Here ya go...I think it might be cashed.
# The person who fills the bowl is given the opportunity to take the first hit. It doesn't matter who's bowl it is. Unless of course, they request you take the first hit.
# Always remember to thank a person who has gotten you high.
# When using a bong, DON'T blow out the ashes, unless that's what the "homeowner" does.
# NEVER go to someone's house EXPECTING them to get you stoned. Of course, there are exceptions to this rule...
# If you spill the bong, clean it up! (And don't forget to put water back in it!!)
# When the roach gets too small, if someone has a problem with it, it is common courtesy here to put the roach in a bowl and finish it that way.. that way the people who don't mind burning their fingers don't get it all.
# Do not, I repeat do not smoke your pet out if he is under 5 lbs. Because you do not want to kill your pet, unless it deserves to die, in which I can't think of a pet that does.
# Do not lie about the amount you have smoked in the past if someone asks you.
# When you take your tokes no matter how big they are, do not cough out all the smoke, because all you are doing is wasting that person's bud.
# If you have major munchies, do not eat all the food at person's house you are at, after all, he has to pay for the shit.
# If you are selling someone weed, don't lie about the amount you are selling or the kind of weed that's in the bag.
# Do not always bum people for weed, it is not cool unless they are willing to give you some.
# If you have a resinated pipe, do not smoke tobacco in it. Because that is just fucking stupid.

Все пак не ми е особено приятно когато другия ме упреква за неща които и аз възприемам като минус за себе си, в момент когато не съм ги демонстрирал или пък съм се опитал да изтъкна като минус в поведението на другия първи. Получава се някаква странна и изключително досадна самозащита, до толкова че като се случи нещо такова да ме накара да го отбележа в blog-а.

Мисля че е добра идея способността да се самоиронизираш, така че да можеш да оцениш кога дадено нещо е казано “между другото” и кога “на сериозно”.

Никой от нас не е безгрешен в очите на другите.

I’ve decided to finish my dark ambient release - the reason I’ve started with the music production hobby back in 2006. After all.. Aphex Twin and his Selected Ambient Works Vol. 2 were the most inspirational project in my view of the dark ambient genre.

The release is called “Mirrors” and will contain the really personal to me track - “Hot Chocolate and Memories” plus a compilation of dark ambient tunes and it will come to light (or darkness … ) on 17 March 2008 thanks to v1le and ODP Label.

1. Drag the application’s icon to the Trash. Open the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder and look for one or more preference files named “com.apple.iTunes….plist” and drag them to the Trash.
2. Look in /Library/ folder for an iTunes folder and if you find one drag it to the Trash.
3. Look in /Home/Library/ folder for an iTunes folder and drag it to the Trash.
4. Last, in /Home/Library/Preferences/ByHost/ folder look for two files with names com.apple.iTunes.nnnnnnn.plist and drag them to the Trash.

5. Open Applications -> Utilities -> Activity Monitor and in the process list look for iTunesHelper. Select it, then click on Quit Process icon. Quit or Force Quit the process.
6. Now open the System Preferences -> Accounts, click on Login Items tab, look for the iTunesHelper entry and select it, then click the “-” button and remove it from the list.

7. Empty the Trash. This should fully remove iTunes and its associated files/folders.

This way you can remove this bloated software from your mac. Once I needed some arrangements to maintain my personal music folder tidy by using this directory structure:

Main SubFolders:
artist1/album1 [....]

artist2/album1 [....]
artist2/album2 (..) [....]

(..) - optional info to avoid dupes like: flac, mp3@320, 24 bit vinyl rip… a.o.
[....] - four digits for the release year

Special SubFolders:
_dnb/ - Drum and Bass (as for the specific single/ep format vinyl distribution)
_dnb/_dublates - Drum and bass dubplates
_dnb/_sets - Drum and bass sets
_dub/ - Dubstep (same reason as above)
_dub/_dubplates - Dubstep dubplates
_dub/_sets - Dubstep sets
_mix/genre/ - For music in various not so much important for me genres
_ost/ - Original Soundtracks
_var/ - For the compilations

This is pain in the ass using media library only system which requires correct tags… I mean not only the Artist Name and Title and also.. the year.. the number of tracks and maybe genre. After all my collection is from 2003 and there weren’t enough quality music sources back then and .. I just do not have much time to fix the tags of my entire 110+ GB collection just to keep it tidy in the iTunes Library.

After all, I just want to listen and submit the tracknames of my favorite artists in Last.FM … not to be a slave of my files… and also to keep them tidy enough.

The collection has multiple file formats like mp3s, flacs and few ogg and wma.. so currently I’m using CogX:

Also I am hoping for a native amaroK version for OS X:
